Could you also bake this in a bread tin or is it not suitable? Thank you for sharing the recipe! : )

This recipe is a keeper! It was ridiculously easy to make, and tasted absolutely wonderful! It paired perfectly with a bowl of vegetable soup.

I just love this bread. It is indeed as good as any bakery bread I have ever bought. I usually add in some cracked wheat for texture and a bit of fiber. My family and friends love it too. I have shared this recipe many times.
I double the recipe and bake it in my 6 3/4 qt Le CREUSET DUTCH OVEN. I have found that putting the baking sheet in the bottom of the oven, as suggested, helps to keep the bottom crust from getting too hard to slice.

Add it after rising before baking!

Really good and ridiculously simple loaf of bread. I made it to go with a pot of soup and this was perfect on a cool winter night. I was curious and wondered about the size of Dutch oven to use so I made it in a 2 qt pan. It totally worked! Am wondering whether you ever tried making with bread flour? Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

Shapes better, proves slower(which is good) has less moisture in the flour, and has a higher gluten count.

It is SO yummy. Love the thick crust on it. And I LOVE how little of my day it takes. Making another loaf now!

Yummy! My 1st time making bread. It did come out pretty dense, next time I’ll proof the yeast beforehand and add a tiny bit of sugar as others suggested and score the top. I added some sea salt to the top, this was a good simple addition. Overall, Its a good recipe, very simple to follow.
