Hi! I have to make a big batch for a church and was wondering how much of the 12oz chex mix box is used in the recipe? This would help figure out how many boxes to get!

Wanting to use up Canadian Shreddies (like Wheat Chex) and Cheerios, I added Marcona Almonds to the dried ingredients, made the wet mixture using butterscotch chips and peanut butter. I mixed it up and then added a bag of Skor Bits before shaking it up with icing (aka powdered) sugar. It was amazing! I think a few small pretzels would be a great addition but none left in my pantry.

In reply to Lori Kearney. Hey Lori! It's very easy to find dairy-free chocolate chips actually! Brands like Enjoy Life Foods, Ghirdelli and more all make dairy-free chips. Especially if buying semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips, they are often made only with cocoa butter and with no milk. So check labels in your baking aisle and you will find many different options!

Hi, When searching on Pinterest for a dairy & gluten free dessert, your recipe popped up saying it is free of both on the photo and little description link. I’m not very knowledgeable about gf/df things but need options for a guest and want to be sure. Don’t the chocolate chips contain dairy?

A lady, I know made this and brought it to a retreat and it was the best I’d ever had…big, manly, chunky pieces packed thickly with chocolate-peanut butter and loads of powdered sugar. I’m not exaggerating when I say I almost ate myself sick. I just couldn’t stop. And I thought about it and craved it for weeks afterwards. I finally tracked down who’d made it and said, “I want that, specific recipe. It’s the best I’ve ever had and I can’t stop thinking about it.” And she sent this. I’m a sucker for white chocolate though, so after reading through the comments, I may have to try a batch with white chocolate chips and peanut butter, as well.

I’m ADDICTED. Let’s just say I haven’t been able to stop eating it since pouring the chocolate mix over it; and I may have been impatient about the powder sugar and have waited zero minutes to add and eat. So while it doesn’t have the white appearance as much as it could, it tastes AMAZING. I’ll work on my patience the next time. 😜
