It’s made with 5 ingredients in only 10 minutes and is hearty enough to keep you full until lunchtime. It has a rich flavor, tons of peanut butter and just the right amount of sweetness.

Ingredients & Substitutions

ingredients in this Peanut Butter Oatmeal recipe
  • Water. I always make oatmeal with water! However, I tested this recipe with whole milk too and it was delicious. I’m sure you can substitute your preferred dairy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, etc.
  • Old-fashioned oatmeal. You can use quick-cooking oats, the texture will just be different and the mixture will thicken up in a shorter amount of time.
  • Peanut Butter. Choose your favorite variety. You can use any nut or seed butter.
  • Brown Sugar. Honey and maple syrup are great substitutes for brown sugar.
  • Sea salt. I suggest tasting the oatmeal and adjusting the salt as needed. If you use a salted peanut butter you may not need to add any.
